The app, which will not be used for any profit-making, aims to close the gap between local Korean farms and newly arrived foreign, multicultural laborers in Korean farms. By providing translated summaries and photos of indigenous Korean and East Asian seeds for popular crops, the app seeks to better introduce them to foreign laborers in Korea, most of whom not from East Asia. The app’s horticultural and agricultural knowledge are burrowed and cited with full copyright consent from Mr. Park Won-Man and his book “Gardening Encyclopedia” [ISBN 9788975275906] and Dulnyuk Press, the publishing company. With the professional help from translators, who wish to remain anonymous, the app, hopefully, will help the newly arrived laborers to adjust into Korea for their new lives.
